What is Life&Trip Fujieda?
The concept is “Everyday life is like a journey.
This is a site that provides recommended information on food, sightseeing, shopping, and events in Fujieda City, Shizuoka Prefecture, which is neither too rural nor too urban, along with a town-walking map.
Located in the center of Shizuoka Prefecture, Fujieda City is a very pleasant land rich in flowers, greenery, and water, surrounded by a forested area overlooking the Southern Alps to the north and the magnificent Oi River and Shida Plain to the south.
In the Edo period (1603-1867), the area flourished as Okabe-juku and Fujieda-juku, the 21st and 22nd post towns on the Tokaido Highway. As a strategic point on the Tokaido Highway, Okabe and Fujieda are rich in history and culture.
Fujieda City, also known as the “City of Soccer,” has produced many talented individuals, including former national team captain Makoto Hasebe.
Fujieda Sogo Undo Koen Soccer Stadium, the home stadium of Fujieda MYFC, a professional soccer team with four cities and two towns (Fujieda City, Yaizu City, Shimada City, Makinohara City, Yoshida Town, and Kawane Honchou) as home towns, is also enjoying a lively atmosphere regardless of home or away games.
